    Companion of ViaBackwards v5.12.0-ekaii-26.3-pre2.1 (same ViaVersion code as v5.12.0-ekaii-26.3-pre2, commit 3bab72d5; re-tagged so both plugins ship under one tag). Tested on the mc-crea263 canary with a 26.2 client together with the ViaBackwards pre2.1 jar. Details: ekaii-263/notes/via-263-impl.md

    ViaVersion 5.12.0-SNAPSHOT + Protocol26_2To26_3 (26.3-pre-2, snapshot protocol 1073742158 = (1<<30)|334). The forward protocol (26.3 client on a 26.2 server) is compile-complete but untested; this build exists as the mapping and type provider for ViaBackwards Protocol26_3To26_2 (exo/viabackwards-ekaii, same tag), which lets 26.2 clients join a 26.3-pre-2 server and was tested end to end locally on 2026-09-06.
