Bug

ReplaceBodyMethodVisitor returned null from visitAnnotation / visitParameterAnnotation / visitAnnotationDefault, so every method it rewrote lost its annotations. Harmless for Authorization / LocalizationLoader, fatal for MixinCamera.extractRenderState_isSpectator: the @WrapOperation was stripped, Mixin never injected the handler, and the null guard shipped in 6.0.1 → 6.0.5 was dead code. Worse, the upstream Axiom wrap disappeared too.

Observed 2026-09-05 (Fabric 26.2 client, Ekaxiom 6.0.5):

java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "LocalPlayer.isSpectator()" because "clientPlayerEntity" is null
	at net.minecraft.client.Camera.redirect$zop000$carpet$canSeeWorld(Camera.java:2082)
	at net.minecraft.client.Camera.extractRenderState(Camera.java:137)

Vanilla 26.2 has no null check on that line (this.minecraft.player.isSpectator()), Carpet's @Redirect on the same call site just takes the hit first. No axiom frame in the stack = the wrap was not applied.

Bytecode diff, MixinCamera.extractRenderState_isSpectator annotations:

jar annotations
Axiom 6.0.5 upstream @WrapOperation
Ekaxiom 6.0.5 (current releases) none
Ekaxiom 6.0.5 (this PR) @WrapOperation + null guard

Fix

  • Forward all annotation / parameter / attribute visits to the target MethodVisitor.
  • Post-write self-check (countInjectorAnnotations): re-read the rewritten class and require exactly one runtime-visible injector annotation on the (LocalPlayer, Operation)Z method. Completeness check fails the build otherwise, so this regression can't ship again.

Verification

Rebuilt 6.0.1 / 6.0.3 / 6.0.5 locally: NPE-guard injector annotation kept: 1, javap -v shows @WrapOperation(method="extractRenderState", target="LocalPlayer;isSpectator()Z"), ifnonnull guard present, CI smoke test (hasCommercialLicense iconst_1, zero network refs) OK. Release assets for v6.0.1/6.0.3/6.0.5-unlock to be replaced with the fixed jars.

## Bug `ReplaceBodyMethodVisitor` returned `null` from `visitAnnotation` / `visitParameterAnnotation` / `visitAnnotationDefault`, so every method it rewrote lost its annotations. Harmless for `Authorization` / `LocalizationLoader`, fatal for `MixinCamera.extractRenderState_isSpectator`: the `@WrapOperation` was stripped, Mixin never injected the handler, and the **null guard shipped in 6.0.1 → 6.0.5 was dead code**. Release assets for v6.0.1/6.0.3/6.0.5-unlock to be replaced with the fixed jars.
ReplaceBodyMethodVisitor returned null from visitAnnotation/visitParameterAnnotation/
visitAnnotationDefault, so every rewritten method lost its annotations. For the
Authorization/LocalizationLoader rewrites that was harmless, but for
MixinCamera.extractRenderState_isSpectator it stripped the @WrapOperation: Mixin
no longer injected the handler at all. Net effect in Ekaxiom 6.0.1-6.0.5:
  - the null-guarded body we add was dead code, and
  - the upstream wrap itself disappeared,
so a transiently-null Minecraft.player during a frame crashes exactly as before
(Camera.extractRenderState:137 -> LocalPlayer.isSpectator() NPE; vanilla 26.2 has
no null check there). Observed 2026-09-05 on a Fabric 26.2 client, surfacing
through Carpet's @Redirect on the same call site.

Fix: forward all annotation/parameter/attribute visits to the target visitor.
Self-check: after rewriting, re-read the class and count the runtime-visible
injector annotations on the (LocalPlayer, Operation)Z method; the completeness
check now requires exactly 1, so this class of regression fails the build.

Verified on Axiom 6.0.1, 6.0.3 and 6.0.5: @WrapOperation(method="extractRenderState",
target="LocalPlayer;isSpectator()Z") present in the patched MixinCamera, null
guard present, CI smoke test (hasCommercialLicense iconst_1, no network refs) OK.
